Ebel cal. 59 (1964)
This Ebel cal. 59 holds a special place in my family’s story—it belonged to my grandmother, gifted to her by my father and his brother for Mother’s Day in 1964. After many years of being out of service, it was recently passed down to my wife. Restoring this watch was a challenging yet rewarding journey, full of lessons. Omega DeVille cal. 620 (1970s)
This watch was a birthday gift to my wife several years ago, but it had been sitting in a drawer waiting to be repaired. It became my first practice watch once I started my watchmaker learning journey! Read more about the restoration here --> link.

Xyntha cal. PUW 1461 (c. 1969)
This was the first automatic movement and first calendar complication that I had ever restored. It had a few serious problems that caused it to be non-functional, but I managed to solve them! This was also the first watch that I had completed restoration of. Read more about the restoration here --> link.
Movado cal. 57 (c. 1966)
This watch was the first one I restored for a "client". It belonged to my relative's grandmother, and while it was a challenge to get working again it was worth every hour of effort I put into it! Read more about the restoration here --> link.

These old Russian movements are very affordable vintage watch practice pieces. They aren't the easiest to restore because they are not the most precisely engineered watches. But, I would recommend them as starter vintage repair projects for newbies. Read more about the restoration here --> link.
